v2.0
1.Improved control formers tracing
You can adjust here graphically the shape of the selected former in larger sized window and optionally you can add a background image, useful as a reference. You can also customize the shape of the Former, show other Formers overimposed, and switch to edit a different Former.
2.Angled formers
Using this panel you can add optional angled formers to the fuselage. This angled formers are interpoled formers. You cannot make them as control formers. The application will build these formers according to the shape of the fuselage, as cut by the angled former plan.Sheetings, Wing Slots, Spars, Decks and Boxes will be considered as well. An Angled Former can also cross a normal former, see below for more details about.
3.Wing slots
Using this panel you can add optional wing slots to your fuselage. You can use this to apply also different slots, for example for the tail stabilizer or for wing joints.
A Wing Slot is a slot in the fuselage that can affect lateral sides, Formers, Shaped Spars, Decks and Boxes. You can use this option to add slots not only for wings or stabilizer, if you like. For example you can use it to make space for a connecting spar.
4.Lateral sides customization
Using this panel you can add lightening holes to your fuselage's lateral sides. You can start creating automatically some lightening holes for a formers range, where possible some smart holes will be created. See the button located in the upper-right side. Then you can refine them or add new ones using the 'Go to advanced editing' button, the Customization of lightening holes window will start. The selected lightening holes is rendered in red.
You can also split the lateral side in more parts, this can be useful if the full part is too large for your CNC machine, for example.
5.Boxes
Using this panel you can add optional boxes to your fuselage.A box is built of up to 6 faces, and can contain then the tank, batteries, RX, servos and so on. You can add as many Boxes as you like.A Box is a container included in the fuselage that can include up to 6 faces. Slots to host the Box will be applied to Formers, Shaped Spars and Decks. You can select for each face if you want to apply it or not.
6.Shaped Spars
Shaped spars are special type of Spar: they can be applied to the Upper, Lower (vertical shaped spar), Left or Right (horizontal shaped spar) side of the fuselage, they have a slot for each former they touch, and can be cut for example from a plywood panel. Using vertical or horizontal shaped spars can help a lot in the process of assembling the fuselage.
7.Vertical and Horizontal Decks
You can think a Vertical or Horizontal Deck as an interpoled former along the fuselage length.
You can use for example a vertical deck as a vertical component splitting the formers in a Left and Right side.
You can then use the vertical deck as the base for assembling the fuselage.
8.Formers holes customization
The first release of devFus included only automatic generation of lightening holes. This is still the fastest way to go, but know you can also customize each former or angled former, or apply rectangular and circulars slots inside them.
9.Enhanced 3D preview
You can check every stage of the project by a faster 3D preview. The selected element will be rendered in red.
You can set the on/off rendering attribute to each type of elements, rotate, pan and zoom the 3D view, and apply transparency.A very powerful way to check if all is ok in elements placement and sizing.
